Ms Jo Clayton

Jo is a director of Cognition Education. She also contracts to the Icehouse, Auckland University’s Business Growth Centre.

Jo has a broad range of commercial experience in retail, manufacturing, building and professional services. She has held a range of senior executive and general management roles – including international assignments – with Mobil Oil, Fletcher Building and The Warehouse. She has an MBA and a B.Ed. from Otago University and joined The Boardroom Practice in 2011.

Jo also works with a number of boards where she provides one on one coaching for their management teams. Additionally she advises and facilitates both planning and the strategic process. Jo also addresses capability and capacity issues within companies, and structure and resource requirements. She ensures that mechanisms are in place and that management are implementing plans and meeting the board monitoring requirements.
